Alejandro et Firdevs offrent un regard sur leur projet de recherche à propos des inspirations et hallucinations musicales, et leur relation à l'analyse mentale.

Alejandro en Firdevs geven een inkijk op hun onderzoeksproject rond inspiratie en muzikale hallucinaties, en hun relatie tot mentale analyse.

"I am still fascinated with the concepts of Absence and Disappearance and today I'm researching on Musical Hallucinations. These "phenomena" might be regarded as an example of mental imagery, defined as 'mental acts in which we seem to re-enact the experience of perceiving an object when the object is no longer available.' Musical hallucinations could function as possible triggers of inspiration.

During this 3 weeks of working in ZSenne a new research direction proposed itself: Can we combine inspiration with analytical thinking? Are there methods applicable to the creative process? Is analyse of the creation process itself a possible source of inspiration, and thus of creation?"

Je suis toujours fasciné par les concepts d' "Absence" et de "Disparition" et je mène actuellement une recherche autour des hallucinations musicales. Ces phénomènes peuvent être considérés comme un exemple d'imagerie mentale, définie comme "des actions mentales au cours desquelles nous revivons la perception d'un objet quand celui-ci n'est plus disponible". Les hallucinations musicales pourraient faire office de déclencheurs de l'inspiration.

Pendant ces 3 semaines de résidence à ZSenne s'est présentée une nouvelle direction de recherche : Peut-on combiner inspiration et pensées analytiques ? Existe-t-il des méthodes applicables au processus créatif? L'analyse du processus de création en elle-même est-elle une source possible d'inspiration, et par là de création ?

Ik ben gefascineerd door de concepten van Afwezigheid en Verdwijning en ik werk nu rond Muzikale Hallucinaties. Vanuit die invalshoek kan dit fenomeen beschouwd worden als een voorbeeld van mentale voorstellingen, gedefinieerd als "mentale acties waarmee we de ervaring imiteren van het waarnemen van een object wanneer dit object niet langer waarneembaar is". Muzikale hallucinaties kunnen functioneren als inspiratie.

Gedurende de 3 weken residentie in ZSenne kwam een nieuwe richting van onderzoek zich aandienen: Kan men inspiratie combineren met analytisch denken? Zijn er methodes toepasbaar op creatie? Is analyse van het creatieproces ook een mogelijke bron van inspiratie, en dus van creatie?
