Charlotte Bouckaert woont en werkt in Brussel. Ze gebruikt fotografie als een manier om de perceptie en interpretatie van tijd en ruimte te transformeren. In haar werk wordt het vermogen van fotografie om te onthullen, verhullen en manipuleren sculpturaal gebruikt. Zo tracht ze fotografie te onttrekken aan de exclusiviteit van 2D. Steve Salembier woont en werkt in Brussel. Vanuit zijn praktijk als architect is hij dagelijks bezig met het concipiëren, representeren en transformeren van ruimte.
Gedurende één week residentie in Artlab ZSenne, zullen Charlotte Bouckaert en Steve Salembier samen in situ werk maken dat een verder onderzoek voert naar de driedimensionale mogelijkheden van fotografie. Aan het einde van de week, op zaterdag 23 en zondag 24 maart, zullen zij hun werk presenteren in de vorm van een tijdelijke tentoonstelling die zijn eigen sporen wegveegt.
Charlotte Bouckaert is a Brussels based artist who uses photography as a way to transform the perception and interpretation of time and space. In her work the picture’s capacity to reveal, hide and manipulate is sculpturally used, thus finding ways to liberate photography from the exclusivity of 2D. Steve Salembier live and works in Brussels. With his practice as an architect, he conceives, represents and transforms spaces on a daily basis.
During a one-week residency at Artlab Zsenne, Charlotte and Steve will produce an in situ work which continues the research into 3-dimensional possibilities of photography. At the end of the week they will present a performance, which stages her work as a temporal exhibition, that then erases its own traces.
Charlotte Bouckaert vit et travaille à Bruxelles. Elle utilise la photographie comme une façon de transformer la perception et l’interprétation du temps et de l’espace. Dans son travail, la capacité de la photographie de faire découvrir, de cacher ou de manipuler est utilisée manière sculpturale. Elle tente de libérer la photographie de son exclusivité 2D.
Steve Salembier, partant de sa pratique d'architecte, conçoit, transforme et représente des espaces. Pendant une semaine de résidence à ZSenne, Charlotte et Steve produiront un travail in situ. Comme une façon d’interroger l’acte d’exposer, elle transformera à la fin de la semaine son travail en une performance. La performance comme une exposition temporaire qui fait disparaître ses propres traces.
