SAY is een voorstelling gebaseerd op het principe van het orakel. Je komt met je vragen naar een individuele afspraak. Het gebruik van het toeval, de interpretatie van tekens en belichaming van foto's door de performer, door middel van tekeningen, verhalen en beweging om de zekerheden te destabiliseren en het ontwikkelen van latente mogelijkheden. Door het maken van een afspraak, kunt u kiezen voor één of twee sessies. De eerste legt de fundamenten van een mythologie om uw vragen te verkennen.

Artists:

Julien Bruneau (B) is a dancer, choreographer and visual artist based in Brussels. At the intersection of movement, drawing and language, his work investigates the dynamic interplay between interiority and collectivity. It may take the form of performance, dance piece, drawing, in-situ installation, on-line publication or discursive event.

Working residency SAY

We are constantly busy interpreting. Throughout the day, throughout our life, we incessantly try to make sense of what happens to us. We read our surrounding to know whether it is safe to cross the street. We read other people to decipher whether they are inimical or ready to support. We read our bodily sensations to make sure we don’t eat too much or get a cold. We read our own history to contemplate whether we have made the good choice in life. We read the newspaper to build up an opinion about politics.
