Ivo Dimchev kan niet ontbreken op de Performatik-affiche: de exuberante performer miste nog geen enkele editie. Deze keer strijkt hij neer in ZSenne artlab voor zijn eerste durational performance. Zes dagen lang stort hij zich op zeven van zijn favoriete kunstdisciplines: lesgeven, schrijven, schilderen, songteksten maken, muziek componeren, filmen, en interviews geven. Breng een bezoek aan Ivo's performance-laboratorium!
Mode is een discipline waar Ivo nooit mee te maken kreeg, maar deze keer geeft hij het een kans. Zeven modeontwerpers zorgen voor de gepaste outfit voor ieder van de veertien uur.
Na al tien jaar creëeren en toeren, studeert Ivo Dimchev af aan DasArts in Amsterdam. Daarna verhuist hij naar Brussel en sticht er zijn Volksroom, waar hij podiumkunstenaars vrij spel geeft. Hij keert later terug naar zijn geboortestad Sofia, en opent de beruchte exporuimte Mozei. Momenteel leeft hij tussen Los Angeles, New York, Wenen en Sofia, waar hij zijn controversiële performances, gezongen concerten, beeldend werk en boeken blijft presenteren. In het Kaaitheater was hij artist-in-residence tijdens de periode 2013-2017.

Ivo Dimchev is one name that cannot be missed from the Performatik programme: the exuberant performer has never missed a single edition. This time he sets up his first long durational performance at ZSenne artlab. For six days, he is going to explore seven of his favorite creative activities: teaching, writing, painting, writing songs, giving concert, filming, giving an interview. Each of these seven activities might morph and transgress along the way. Pay Ivo a visit and witness his fourteen-hours performance laboratory!
Fashion is a discipline Ivo never had to deal with, but this time he is giving it a chance. Seven fashion designers will collaborate on the project and dress him properly for each of the fourteen hours.
After ten years of creating and touring, Ivo graduated in 2009 at DasArts in Amsterdam and moved to Brussels. There he founded his independent stage Volksroom, in which he gave the performing arts free rein. Later he moved back to his home town Sofia and opened the notorious art space Mozei. Now he lives between Los Angeles, New York, Vienna and Sofia, intensely presenting his controversial performances, vocal concerts, art exhibitions and books. He was a Kaaitheater artist-in-residence for the period 2013-2017.
